Hayley Orrantia is an American actress, singer and song writer. Many people recognize the character as Erica Goldberg in the comedy The Goldbergs' TV show. But she is primarily a music lover. Music, according her, is first thing she loves. She began playing with the instrument at the age of nine. After she turned 12 years old, music was taken seriously enough to warrant professionally trained. The singer-songwriter began writing songs at 13 and was only 14 when she made her first collection of cover songs. From then on, she has not been back. Orrantia is a native of the USA but she is a native of the United States with Hispanic origins. Though she's never was a Spanish speaker in Mexico However, she is extremely proud of her Hispanic roots. By learning Spanish and writing songs she strives to preserve the tradition. 'Hasta Verte' a song she composed in Spanish is one such attempt. In the summer of 2011, Orrantia auditioned for the first episode of The X Factor. Orrantia's YouTube video was chosen and she got four "yeses", or votes, from the judges at The Seattle audition. Originally auditioning as a soloist, she as well as three female vocalists were placed in the final auditions in "Hollywood Week". The live shows were held in the 5th week.
