Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise is a popular American writer, singer and actress well known for her character Ginger Grant in the 1960s television show Gilligan's Island. The actress began her career as a stage artist during the 1950s beginning in Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. In the 1950s she performed as a stage artist in several Broadway productions before gaining into national fame with the release of Li'l Abner's debut in 1957. That same year, she made her debut album of songs, called It's the Time for Tina. Louise began with her Hollywood career in 1958, as she played Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre, a film that was dramatic. The film was a massive success, and Louise was awarded an award called the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. In the years prior to this she was a student at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her teacher. The next memorable role she played was in 1964. She signed with CBS to play Ginger Grant. Louise worked successfully in both Hollywood and Broadway as a somber character to counter her image of the glamour girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The SG-1 series and Helen Magnus, but in recent years, she has made a name as a director on several well-known TV shows such as Supernatural. Her family moved out of Essex to Toronto, where she spent childhood and adolescence. Samantha Carter settled in Vancouver, Canada after her selection for the role of lead.
