Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American actor, performer, and songwriter for many years. Her mom raised her in the USA in a place where she endured many racial taunts that made her feel like a non-person. It was during her ninth grade when she began to gain confidence after being highly praised in an audition. It not only boosted confidence in herself, but it also changed her goals for the future. She attended New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. In the year 23 she began her career making her first appearance on Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films in You've got Mail. In the Broadway first production of Spamalot she portrayed the role of Lady of The Lake and won both the Tony Award as well as critical praise. The following year she was cast in the role of Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her gain more fame. She is a popular singer. she has also released both a song and a play. Additionally, she works as an LGBT activist.
